🌮 Classic Beef Tacos Recipe
Ingredients (Makes 8–10 tacos)
For the Taco Meat:

1 lb (450g) ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced
-
2 tsp chili powder
-
1 tsp ground cumin
-
½ tsp paprika
-
½ tsp oregano
-
Salt and pepper to taste

½ cup (120ml) water or beef broth
-
1 tbsp tomato paste (optional, for richness)
For the Tacos:

8–10 small corn or flour tortillas
-
Shredded lettuce
-
Diced tomatoes
-
Shredded cheddar or Mexican cheese blend
-
Sour cream
-
Salsa or hot sauce
-
Fresh cilantro (optional)
-
Lime wedges for serving
Instructions
1. Cook the Meat:

Heat a skillet over medium heat.

Add ground beef and chopped onion; cook until beef is browned and onion is soft.

Add garlic and spices (chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, pepper). Stir well.

Add water or broth and tomato paste, stir, and simmer for 5–10 minutes until thickened.
2. Warm the Tortillas:

Heat tortillas in a dry pan, in the oven, or microwave until warm and pliable.
3. Assemble the Tacos:

Spoon the seasoned beef into each tortilla.

Top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, salsa, and any other toppings you like.

Garnish with cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
