🍝 Classic Garlic Butter Parmesan Pasta
Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

8 oz (225g) pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or your choice)

2 tbsp butter
-
2 tbsp olive oil
-
4 garlic cloves, minced
-
½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)

½ cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
-
Salt and black pepper to taste
-
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
-
Juice of ½ lemon (optional, for brightness)
Instructions

Cook the Pasta:

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.

Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.

Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:

In a large skillet over medium heat, add butter and olive oil.

Once melted, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes.
-
Sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant (don’t burn the garlic!).

Toss the Pasta:

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet.
-
Toss to coat in the garlic butter sauce.

Add reserved pasta water a little at a time to help coat the noodles and create a light sauce.

Add Cheese & Seasoning:

Stir in the Parmesan cheese.

Season with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice if using.

Toss well to combine everything.

Serve:

Garnish with fresh parsley and more Parmesan on top.
