For the Dough:

2 ¼ tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast

¾ cup (180ml) warm water (about 110°F / 43°C)

1 cup (240ml) canned tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes

½ tsp garlic powder

Instructions
1. Make the Dough:

In a small bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.

In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead dough on a floured surface for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
2. Prepare the Sauce:

In a small saucepan, mix all sauce ingredients.

Simmer on low for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Set aside.
3. Preheat Oven:

Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.
4. Assemble the Pizza:

Roll out dough on a floured surface into a 12-inch circle.

Carefully transfer dough to a piece of parchment paper.

Spread sauce evenly over the dough.

Add cheese and your favorite toppings.
5. Bake:

Slide parchment with pizza onto the preheated stone or baking sheet.
